As much part of the process of choosing a smartphone, is choosing the case and accessories to go with it. Often just as tough as selecting the device itself, some consumers go for cases that merely enhance the device, supporting and protecting it from everyday knocks and bumps but do not interfere with its original design. Like a small bag or purse top keep the smartphone in, one of the attractions of these is that it becomes less obvious the device is a smartphone, potentially putting off would be thieves. Accessories available often focus on making the smartphone easier to use while on the move. Exogear already stocks a Samsung Galaxy Nexus car Mount. This secures the phone to a surface in the car. It can be docked with or without the case. The grip holder in which the Nexus sits is 5 inches. It can rotate at 360 degrees meaning it can be moved to have the display pointing in the most comfortable and compatible position with the driver. The clips of the mount are positioned so that the phone can also be charged, usually via the car’s USB port, and can remain in the mount.
Once consumers have picked out their favourite smartphone they can browse a wide range of accessories to match. Whether leather cases, sock style woollen cases, brightly coloured or designed with more subtle hues, manufacturers eye each new smartphone announcement with glee. Even subtle changes in the exterior design between the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and the Samsung Galaxy SII means a new case or screen protector is needed. It may seem frustrating, particularly when users have signed up to a 24 month deal but cases and accessories, although often viewed merely as a fashion accessory, do have an incredibly practical purpose. Protecting the screen, the edges of the phone from day to day use, enabling hands free use, vital while driving or on the move and making it easy to adopt the smartphone and protect in during any activity means it will keep its good looks for longer.
