After Linked In, in another mass security breach over 400K passwords have been stolen 2 days ago. This time it happened to a giant search engine i-e Yahoo. Yes it was revealed on Thursday July 11th that this secured data has been taken from Yahoo’s vast contributor network.
So if a giant site attracting over half billion online population can face such severe security breach then users must be careful and pay specific attention to the security of important data present online.
Yahoo mail is considered the world second most popular email service but after the publication of over 400,000 passwords the first question comes to our mind is who will dare to use Yahoo anymore!

Here if we have a look at user’s reactions then we’ll find a blend of responses they gave. Some directly hit yahoo for not taking enough security measures as needed to avoid such breach. Some took it as an exaggerated tale and accepted it as a norm of online life while some reacted in a funny mood not considering it as serious at all.
Though company claimed that fortunately less than 5% of breached passwords were in valid state and those are being changed rapidly but it is still big news for online users who still rely on the security of giant sites like Yahoo and Linked In.
However the company assured blocking the hole in their security wall and vowed to discourage such attempts in future by taking all possible preventive measures against such cyber assaults from unknown enemies.
Online security breaches one after the other have made people used to it. Now they don’t take it as a big new but as a bad news when they lose another place for secured online storage. Due to the growing cyber assaults people using internet must follow precautionary measures to avoid great losses during such breach to any website they are using at the moment.
