Nokia’s new Plug to Touch technology
rajinfo Nokia – World’s largest mobile phone maker unveiled the new technology Plug to Touch. This new technology can turn any HDMI-connected external display into a touchscreen.
Using a N8 Mobile phones 12 Mp Camera, the phone is mounted atleast 5 feet away from the screen and connected via HDMI. The phone’s camera tracks the hand gestures and the onboard app responds accordingly. Application that runs on Nokia N8 and it uses the 12-megapixel camera on the phone to detect users’ finger movements over the HDMI-connected display.
The application can let users pick selections and process the requests. This Technology can be made much more sophisticated in the future with the help of Wi-Fi streaming over DLNA
