Sony Ericsson has launched five devices Xperia X10, Xperia X10 mini, Xperia X10 Mini Pro, Vivaz and Vivaz Pro in India. Sony Ericsson handset maker has roped in actor Kareena Kapoor as the brand ambassador for the company.

Sony Ericsson launched a new five portfolio of high-end mobile phones priced between Rs 25,695 and Rs 35,795 in India. This new portfolio of high-end mobile phones will take communication entertainment to the next level.

Sony Ericsson corporate vice-president and head of Asia Pacific region Hirokazu Ishizuka said that we will launch devices in the low-end Mobiles Rs 5,000 handsets as well in coming days. The increase of social and digital media is changing the consumer experience with mobile phones. The reorganization of the critical needs, to maintain consumer touch points and will leverage all digital and social media platforms to engage with consumers. Social media will play an important role in how we engage with our consumers here in India.

Sony Ericsson plans to corner a considerable market share in the high-end mobile market segment, which is currently dominated by Nokia, Blackberry and Apple.

Sony Ericsson has partnered with regional and local content and application providers such as MTV India, UTV, Shemaroo, Electronics Art, Indiagames and Disney among others to deliver entertainment content.

Samsung Electronics Operates with own Operating System Named Bada

Mr. Ranjit Yadav, Director, Mobile and IT, Samsung India said that Samsung Electronics will launch its own Operating System, Bada, in the second quarter of next fiscal.

He said this when he was on the occasion of the launch of two new dual sim handsets (B-5722 and Duos 259) taking the number of company’s dual sim handsets to six, including GSM and CDMA segments. He said that he is expecting dual sim phones to contribute 15 per cent of its total handset volumes this year. He explained that dual sim phones were becoming the answer to consumers looking for better performance, value addition, and segregation of numbers for personal and attractive propositions from different service providers without the necessity of carrying two or three handsets.

Mr. Yadav said that Samsung India hosted a Java application store on Samsung Fun Club with access to 40 multimedia applications. Another ten more applications on Samsung Fun Club would be added by the end of this month.

Google’s new device Google TV Developed along with Sony, Logitech and Intel

The search giant is believed to be working with Sony and Intel to develop a Google TV. Google TV has built a prototype set-top box in an effort to provide a better way for people to surf the web through their televisions.

This Google’s new device Google TV could also be built into TVs and other devices such as Blu-ray players. The Google TV would allow people to watch their TV channels but also have better access to the internet, search, social networking sites, YouTube videos and online games. Google has begun testing the set-top box technology though Dish Network, a satellite TV provider.

Now there is news that these companies are working with Logitech, to build a remote control and small keyboard for the system. However this project has been in development for several months, but none of the companies involved will comment publicly.

Certainly, Google has their businesses in many different industries, such as telecommunications and publishing. The vast majority of its revenue still comes from search-related advertising.

search giant Google has bought the famous photo editing site Picnik

The search giant Google has bought the famous photo editing site Picnik. Google is currently planning to add Meta tags to the images to make them search friendly in Google Images search. Google clarified in the blog post that there is no any big changes have been planned and the focus lies only on integration as well as adding new features.

Picnik is an online photo editing service. Picnik can import photos natively from Facebook, Myspace, Picasa Web Albums, Flickr, Yahoo Image search and also offers options to upload from a computer or to upload from a website. Picnik’s basic photo editing tools are free to use. Picnik has a partnership with Flickr that includes a less feature-rich version of Picnik built into Flickr as a default photo editor.

An online payments service PayPal to Resume Bank Withdrawals Service in India by March 3

PayPal an online payments service (internet bank). PayPal is an e-commerce business allowing payments and money transfers to be made through the Internet.

On February 1st 2010, Paypal stopped and reversed all Personal transactions in or out of India
Paypal without warning or consent they had returned funds to vendors which they had already received and withdrawn. Personal payments are blocked going in or coming out of accounts from Indian customers, causing a confusion which also had millions of online complaints.

Today Paypal has told that they are Resuming Bank Withdrawals Service by March
3. But personal payments into India will remain suspended, as the RBI has told the online payment company that it requires specific approvals to allow personal inward remittances to India.

PayPal needs authorization to operate a cross-border money transfer service, under the country’s Payment and Settlement Systems Act, 2007.

On March 1 or By March 3 2010 they will resume these services with specific instructions for customers on how they can transfer their money into their bank accounts. Finally there is some good news for Indian Merchant and exporters.
